We are seeking reliable and skilled Lgv1 Drivers to work for our client in Gateshead Team Valley. The ideal candidates will possess a strong background in commercial driving and delivery. This role requires excellent communication skills and a commitment to safety and efficiency in transporting goods to our clients. Duties include deliveries across the UK Shifts are days starting as early as 5am and afternoons starting from 14.00. Permanent contracts available for suitable candidates immediate starts available £16.50 per hour. Drivers must complete a full driving assessment before their first shift

Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial vehicles, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
• Execute timely deliveries of goods to designated locations while maintaining accurate delivery records.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
• Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.
• Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle at all times.

Qualifications

• Valid Lgv1 licence with a min of 6 months recent experience and with no more than 6 points on licence.
• Valid Drivers CPC and Digi Card
• Previous experience as a delivery driver is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills to interact with team members and clients effectively.
